Great. If you are looking for more in-depth info and you need some driver contacts that have been racing with us, please feel free to send me an e-mail. Most of the guys will start waking back up again in the coming weeks as the March season-opener starts looming in the horizon.
The contact at Rothsport is Jeff Gamroth. He is extremely talented as a driver, shop owner and builder, et cetera. And he has impressive pro experience. And he has raced his own Spec 911 and also a rental car the shop built up.
The contact at Jerry Woods Enterprises is Rich Walton. Like Jeff, Rich is extremely talented as a driver, shop owner and builder, et cetera. And he has impressive pro experience. And he has raced his own Spec 911. JWE is working to build a rental car. Jerry Woods does engine building and fabricating. Of course all of you realize he goes all the way back to the 70's and has won world championships with Porsches with the Garretson/Dick Barbour race teams
The contact at Reno Rennsport is Mat Lowrance. Again, he is extremely talented as a driver, shop owner and builder, et cetera. And he has impressive pro experience. Mat raced as a part-time IMSA pro, and back in the day, he worked with Jerry, Bruce Anderson and others in the Garretson organization. Mat has several Spec 911 driver/customers and he has built and is dialing in a Spec 911 with his son.
All three of these shops have taken different yet overlapping approaches. If you decide to contact them, please be respectful of their time as you would any shop... phone stuff is low margin business activity for them.
Our three most active shops/builders only account for a fraction of the typical grid at a Porsche Racing Club event. We have quite a few DIY folks. Heck we even have folks that are competitive that drive to the track in their cars.
