Smile Hallett PCA Club Race - Oct 3-4

So who here is coming to race?? Looks like another fun weekend courtesy of the Cimmaron region team. I've been the last two years and have really had a GREAT TIME. Small, tight course that's a lot of fun to drive.

Oh, and BTW ladies, Intellicast is calling for Thunderstorms (due to a cold front passing through) on Thursday and a chance of showers on Sunday. Bring your rain tires!

Game on folks!

With the cool weather following the storm front ya'll should be making some good HP to put down with those rain tires.

Yes, at this point, it looks like I had some "challenges" with my air box. It's been checked and run in and seems to be back in shape. I'm planning to pull the trailer over tomorrow (don't ask) and retrieve the car.

Last Saturday was FUN, and then I had a week from h*ll! I'm sure hopin' that is all behind me now.

Now that I've learned that R6's are not the tire of choice for very wet weekends (TWS CR Mar09), I've decided to buy some tires with a little tread.

Ill be there. Don't think Ill bring rains but might. Have to fix my wiper first so I can see. Plus, the last race I did in the rain, I had fender damage from others getting sideways. I may just buy a case of the new bud light Wheat and watch the carnage from the RV.

Current forecast is mostly sunny, high in the mid 70's for Saturday and Sunday. Now if the weather service just had a 'Buy it Now' button....

Hmmm, Intellicast is calling for scattered Thunderstorms on Thursday and Friday, beautiful on Saturday and showers on Sunday. I'm bringing the rains just in case. Temps look to be nice - lows in the mid-50's and highs in the 70's.

Default THE DRIVER'S TRACK!

Thank you for your guidance, Toby and Jeff. Looks like I'll be there Thursday PM.
That's going to be quite a lot of traveling in 24 hours -- but it will be easier in the long run.
I'll be wide awake when the sun goes down!

Note to self: Pack up the sun and take it along!

Still looking at the RV vs hotel. . .
Soon!

Well, I apoligise now as I ended up taking out my windshield wiper all together. Weighed 7 pounds by the way. The rain can now be my fault... I will still rain-x the windshield though so maybe still a chance. The thing was going to be too much of a pain to re wire and get back in before I had to load up.
If I go fast enough, the rain won't hit me anyway.
See you guys there.

Default Best of luck fellow racers

I'm feeling a bit sick about not racing this weekend... it's a damn shame that my family has season tickets to the Kansas Speedway. It looks like you all will have great weather... now go break some track records will ya!
