NADY or Chatterbox

NADY or Chatterbox
So what is the better communicator to get, the NADY or Chatterbox?
Also, there was a thread about adapting custom in-ear headphones for racing radios to also work with the Chatterbox/NADY communicators. What was the outcome? I would prefer to set my helmet up to work with one headset/mic combo and be able to plug it into either the communicator or a racing radio.

I keep a Nady in my glove box incase my passenger doesn't have a communicator. It works great and I've had no problems with it over the past couple of years. As long as you tell the person using the headset to be gentle and not pull hard on the cord, it should be good for a long time. I've used instructors chatterbox headsets with intermittent contact, so neither is indestructible. Just my $.02 I'm sure the chatterbox is better quality, but doesn't it cost more too?
