High Plains Raceway Club Race
Gents and ladies,
We are over 70 drivers now for next week's (Aug 15-16) Club Race at High Plains Raceway. If you are looking for some good racing to fill your late-summer schedule, sign up now. We are having two sprints and a nice one-hour (no fuel) enduro. All that and a Dart Auto pig roast on Sat. night. This will be a blast. High Plains is a lovely, brand new 15-turn smoothly-paved and hilly circuit that will test your driving skills. Bring the E car or bring the Cup (or for that matter whatever you've got) there will be plenty of folks with whom to play.

For the DE folks, lots of space still available there too. 4, 20 minute sessions per day and great spectating while you're not driving. Registration is open until Sunday night.

The Friday time is not run by PCA. The track organizer usually sets up informal run groups if needed. I've seen two groups in the past, and they expect you to self select.

Thanks. I thought that was the case but got confused by the schedule available on ClubRegistration. Just looked at it again and its from Sept. 2007, as are the Enduro Protocols.

The real schedule will be out in the next day or two. The gist of it is this:
Saturday: 3 practices, fun race, 1 hour enduro, pig roast!
Sunday: Warmup (depending on how you survived the pig roast), qualifying, 2 sprints

Euro SC - not running 15's!

Mike, thanks for the update as well as your help with my car, Friday.
Looks like I'll be ready after all!
Only thing I'm lacking is numbers and directions to the track that most of you have hundreds of laps on
BTW, who is this Buckley guy you're all worried about and why does everyone think that Coombs character is not an issue?
Jesse
(also not running 15s)

Jess, I believe this man Buckley is a relative of Mike "Checker or Wrecker" Martin, who when he wasn't in the wall or force-over-revving his motor was beating the tar out of the E class at the Glen this year. They both run 15's as will about a half dozen others at High Plains. Buckley and his disciples will come to our track with the intention of winning all the races I am told. Our Ace-in-the-hole is that I will be giving the chalk talk on Friday night!

911 in E - 15's? Not so much.

Glad you guys got the joke!
But really, what's a Coombs? I hear he shows up with 16 plus sets of tires and a full crew. Could this be true?
Jesse
PS Thanks Fred! Means a lot to me!

Hi Keith,
You'd better check with the track directly. It sounds like we've paid extra for Friday night and Saturday night in and out but not Thursday.
Thanks for coming up!
