Is it me or is his eye on the damaged eye a little...well, "off?"

Is this caused by the swelling? Muscle damage?

There's still quite of bit of inflamation, which is to be expected. Looks visually gnarly, but structurally fine.

No eye damage, it looks little "off", as you said, because of swelling, but his vision & brains are fine.

As I already said on the previous thread with a photo, that's not that bad at all. If he was a hockey player, he'd be on the ice tomorrow.
(below some photos of hockey face injuries...)

Ready to race is a bit over-presumptuous eh? Stitches on the face and a skull fracture are two different things.

Hope he doesn't come back like Ricky Bobby - driving around the track with the pit speed limiter on...

I was being sarcastic saying "ready to race". And holy heck! WTF is his doctor, Frankenstein? How far is Hungary from Transylvania anyway? Done sewed up with yarn or something.

Looked like the doc tore some cord out of the tires and sewed up his face.

Finn,
you gotta stop posting your family pics on the interweb If you have to , I would love to see the one you took on the noggin a few months back

Pretty Ironic, Stoolmachers 's career started due to the misfortune of Bertrand Gachot and it looks like it will be restarted due to the misfortune of another , anyway KR looked very motivated in Hungary .... ahhh to Peg the King ..

^^^That one of Bjore Salming is a biggin'.

I just had 13 stitches put in along side my nose to close an excision to remove a carcinoma. Lots of swelling and some necrosis but 3 weeks later its much improved. According to the doctors I should be able to play the violin (if I choose to take it up).

Like a Porsche, the human body is a wonderous thing. Especially skin when you think about it. Now if that spring had hit his eye . . . I don't even want to think about it.
