UM, yes, that's true. walls, trees, crappy pavement, jersey barriers.... and BMWs :-) But it's what we've got in Seattle. Portland and the new track in oregon (Oregon Raceway Park) are within a reasonable distance but it should make sense now why i gush about Barber.

Going to try the Flip HD at PBOC Winterfest next week. Never used it in the car or been there before. It has all the makings of a royal cf.

Brian, your BMW is cool-***, I took notice in another thread.
As for DE videos, the only sound is wind noise; odd!
And Pacific; My God; the bark!

Flip is a cool little toy. So simple and quality is very good & easy to edit. here are some fun things I've recorded. (some quality is lost posting on youtube etc, but its WAAAY To easy to use)

GF Passenger reaction

Suction Mounted to rearwindow filming a friend @ NJMP

Leh Keen @ '08 24 hr Lemons in our hotrod mustang w Police Siren - Classic!!

Monticello Track Day (Full Course)

NJMP Thunderbolt Rear View - outpacing 997 gt3's in my 993tt.

Flip is great as a second camera in the car, cannot do any kind of data acq or overlay as far as I am aware. Only minor drawback is the mic.

Got ya. Might want to look into optimizing the conversion settings of the vid before uploading to YouTube if you haven't already. Just seems to lack a lot of the sharpness that I would expect to see from HD video, based on what I've seen from uploading my own HD vids to YouTube and Vimeo.
