I spent 1 day with NNJR at Thunderbolt make sure the new car runs ok before going to VIR for the NASA race on the 24th. We had a few problems with the new car at the lighten race a few weeks ago which we fixed.
The car seemed to run well, I think I'm going enjoy my new ride
(Skip the 1st 2 laps as they were warm up laps)

Gary,
Glad to hear the new car is sorting out the way you like it. Did the PS finally stop leaking?
I noticed you avoid the curbing thru most of the lap. Was that consistent throughout the day? I found that the more I pushed the car, the more I needed to use all the track entering and exiting the turns. This put me right on the edge or the middle of the curbing. They are amazingly smooth and caused minimal unsettling.
I finally got my new engine broken at the end of day 1 making day 2 a lot more enjoyable. Having to drive at lower rpms forced me to learn the lines correctly before speeding up on day 2.

After the steering going funky on me in T1 at the end of Fridays 1st season I checked the PS pump again and found a 2nd leak. I fixed it but have since put a new pump on to be sure that there are no more leaks.
I didn't push the car too much which was probably why I didn't use as much track as I should have. As you know I was trying new spring rates which were fantastic

Really glad you got your new motor and it's running well

When are you next racing Joe?

Stick with PS, I went w/o it for a few years and could not believe the difference in car control. Car placement is far easier with PS and the loss in hp is nominal.
Driving Richard's car is what convinced to me to install PS in mine.

I'm a big fan of the manual rack. I will admit that my arms are a bit sore the day after a 3 hr enduro, especially now that I'm running 275's in front.

Good, I wouldn't wish it on you, but be sure to "check the gauges", she's worth more than racing.
No VIR for me; too far and too close to NE events, I'm after points.
I tried to convince my son to go to that camp too, but he wasn't interested. Too much sitting around and not enough seat time, he told me!
I hope to go to VIR for the Nationals though, I know that circuit well, 2 x 12hr enduros there (Charge of the Headlight Brigade).
