Default Is there a radio broadcast of ALMS race at Limerock?

I know at Sebring it is possible to hear the race on a scanner or FM radio. Is the Limerock race broadcast over any FM station?

Looks like it's on XM: http://www.xmradio.com/onxm/features/alms_2009.xmc

Probably Sirius, too?

The Speed raw feed is available on scanner (an excellent way to follow the race, better than the braodcast feed by far). If you don't have a scanner, go to the Racing Radios trailer on-site and get one there. They will also have the freq list for the event.

I'm not sure that RR is in the business of renting scanners. There may be a vendor that does this at Lime Rock, but I have not seen one in the past (small event).

Not worth it if you only watch a race a year, but you seem to get around to a few races. It may benefit you to buy your own.

Just got some big headphone style ear protectors to see if I can listen to XM/FM with earbuds under the ear protectors.

It was $18 with free Amazon shipping.
Padded it with them fancy PIAA silicone wiper blade to get over $25.

I'm not a pro track junkie like you so the ear protectors will get to be a hatstand for quite some time.

Default BUT WAIT -- THERE'S MORE: YOU CAN LISTEN ONLINE!

Another option is Radio LeMans online

RADIO LEMANS LINK

... if you happen to be out of range of LRP's `102.5

One more shift tonight... and I'm THERE!

Default FURTHERMORE. . .TIMING AND SCORING, ANYONE?

For those who might not know:

If you are so inclined, and 'have the technology' -- you can follow abbreviated timing and scoring on your 'hand-held' (device)...

ALMS LIVE TIMING AND SCORING

OR, if you want to follow on a more traditional computing device:

LIVE TIMING AND SCORING LINK

. . . BUT, that's only when they are 'LIVE!'

Doc

PS: Looking forward to seeing you again, Ernest!

Speed raw feed on scanner. Best bet going for inside info on what's happening on track, especially the conversations they have when TV is on commercial break.
