Its north of Bologna. One thing that I must say about Pagani is that they are not the snobs that their products would warrant, had they been located in a town called Maranello.
In my prior career as journalist it took about a year of emails with Pagani´s PR manager, a very nice lady I might add, but I actually got to drive the Zonda F back when it was the news of the day, in year 2005. We received the same warm welcome as the guys from the website above, including an hour-long interview with Hr. Pagani. He doesn´t speak English, so we spoke through his assistant, but he liked our questions and spent more time with us than planned.
As for the car itself, I got about 30 minutes of hard driving time and three hours of sitting in it in the local traffic jam for getting to the place where the good roads start. My report in Czech, and photos, are here: http://www.autoweb.cz/recenze-testy-...i-zonda-f/1873
We were just starting with videos back then, so the video is not up to today´s standards. Also had no time making it on the spot.
It´s a shame that we haven´t seen good in-depth reviews of this car either in magazines or on the internet. Sure you get lots of photos and videos, but the majority of them just tell you how magnificent it is, but you already see that in the pictures. One of the most informative pieces on what it is really like is the Marc Basseng drive on the Nurburgring.
One of the reasons the testers can´t get under its skin is the very limited time anyone can get with either a private car or the press car, if there even is such a thing at any given time. The Zonda F I drove was the car which appeared in all the press photos and the same car which later appeared on Top Gear.
I must say that this attitude is something unheard of in the circles of the other "supercar" italian manufacturers. I am putting that in quotes because there is nothing else made in Italy that can stand comparison with a Zonda. How can an F430, for example, be a supercar, and a Zonda also a supercar?
Actually, this came up in the interview as well. The official Pagani nomenclature for 430, Gallardo, GT3 etc, is "sportscars." The only car which they compared the Zonda at that time is the Carrera GT.
If you want to ask the obvious, no, the Enzo wasn´t mentioned.
