My son's 951 DE car. We think that it has at least 200 track hours on the rod bearings, which should be replaced every 80 hours or so if you run anything but a stock chip. It took the 2 of us about 9 hours worth of knuckle-busting work just to get to this point. ![banghead](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/banghead.gif)
Now all we have to do is put the bearings in, and put it all back together.

After years of refining gentle art of 911 engine drops to the point where I had it down to an easy two hours without breaking a sweat, my first 951 engine drop was an ugly experience.
Lets just say that there is basically no quick, clean or easy way to work on a 951 engine. Its never pretty, either.

I did this last year - a real pain in the **** for someone with big hands - or even normal-size hands for that matter.
Now's a good time to do the oil cooler seals.

From experience, I would recommend Lindsey Racing's three piece crossmember and two piece crossover. It really does save time getting into the bottom end. Now tha you have it apart this is a good time to do it.
