Terrible news. RIP

My condolences to the family.

Sounds like it happened at turn 8.

My deep condolences to the family. It sounds like he died doing what he loved to do, though. Beats dying of Alzheimers, cancer, getting T-boned by a drunk driver, etc. If I have to die, I'd love for it to be in a race car or in bed with three or more hot girls who won't care that I croaked under them/on top of them.

Wow, I enjoyed watching him at the SCCA Runoffs where he tended to do very well. I hope something can be learned from this to improve safety of the car or the track.

The article said the car went off before the turn and "enter[ed] the gravel trap and ending up against the tire wall." No other cars were involved. The car had to be towed away. Was the death crash related?. The article doesn't really make it clear. Tragic nonetheless. Condolences to the family.

I've now heard two separate stories both claiming what the corner workers saw and they are polar opposites. We'll hear soon enough I'm sure.

I"m also wondering what the cause was now, perhaps it was natural causes, unrelated to racing? No mention of impact or fire.....
RIP nonetheless.
