Definitive proof modern F1 drivers aren't THAT good!
I was hoping this was a joke when I first read it...
F1: Drivers Distracted By Martini Billboard
From the Jean Girard file-
F1 drivers campaigned to have a huge billboard depicting an attractive woman removed prior to Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix
A billboard featuring sultry model Jessiqa Pace (above) on the racetrack at the Monaco Grand Prix had to be taken down after it proved too distracting to Formula 1 drivers over the weekend. Pace, 29, appears in the campaign for Martini, the Italian winemaker founded in 1863 and famous for its iconic vermouth.
F1 team representatives asked for the posters to be taken down after drivers complained during trial runs; champ Lewis Hamilton crashed in Saturday's qualifying round close to the gigantic image of Jessiqa. "All the attention is overwhelming," she told the London Daily Star. "I find it really funny. Obviously it's very flattering that I'm distracting the drivers so much, but I'd feel terrible if someone got hurt."
and because (I tried my best to keep it PG and if you look close there is some Pcar content)...

I didn't see where the drivers said they were distracted by the how pretty she was....it could have been glare or other reasons. (if it was the girl I wouldn't own up to it either). F1 drivers are around hot girls all the time, you'd think they would get used it eventually....

Lewis nearly did.
So Monaco isn't as intimidating a track as hyped since the drivers' minds have all that time to wander.
Need more switches and ***** on the steering wheels to keep the driver's focus.
It's not like they had a supersized picture of an ice cream bar up there or something.

Although this wasn't the point of the thread and I don't really care, I just have to laugh at the irony... back "in the day" drivers complained when tree's, houses, and other very immovable object were within feet of the the track. Now they complain about a billboard with a picture of a pretty model, and it's not like she's scantily clad or in a bikini!
