Of course I'll never forget his infamous "all American, all oval" speech at the birth of the IRL....

That ranks up there in the pantheon of the most stupid things ever uttered by a being that is capable of 2 footed locomotion....I'm surprised TG actually has opposable thumbs.

I am certain primates would be offended with your inference, lets face it he has been measured and been found lacking.

Is that all?

Gee, that's just a season and a few races for Ferrari.

Not until they come up with a caravan of Brinks trucks loaded with cash. Bernie is used to dealing with third world and developing country leaders flush with money.

Yep -- all American drivers, all on American ovals, affordable racing where teams owned their engines -- look what happened in short time, the complete opposite.

Angry changing the look of the Speedway.....

The outside is real dumpy...only the inside front straight of the track where the "swells" hang out has been upgraded. Went this past weekend...never going back...the neighborhood is nearly beyond description. Really depressing.

If Tony George wanted to gain some points with the masses, he would have bought about 20 acres around the track and come in with a bevy of Cat D-8s and leveled the place...next, parking and possibly other tracks. Parling is in some hillbillies front yards...very tacky!!!

Look at Lowe's Motorspeedway...now that is a campus!!!!

Jayski.com now reports that Tony George denies the ousting.

IIRC, TG was on TV tonight (ESPN something) and denied the whole event.

Agreed, but who didn't see it coming...I don't know who is worse for the state of American racing...TG or Brian France.

They're both a few crayons short of a full box.
