This is a torsion bar delete car. The coil-overs are upside down. There I said it! The springs are BELOW the height adjusting collars so it's not an inverted design

I'll be damned, I felt there was something wrong but I could't pinpoint it

It won't work. Period. How do you adjust ride height? Nope, won't work. I thought I was friggin' CRAZY but I guess I'm not. Thanks for the acquittal

Apparently done because the whole spring assembly (as mentioned previously) is upside down. When installed normally, the shock bodies will extend down to the lower mount and are slim enough not to require any extensions.

Hmm, never seen that done before. No reason why it won't work, unless of course you have adjustable shocks. The Koni double adjustables would be impossible to adjust when installed inverted like that.

Other than the spring plate itself being used to adjust ride height, how does this coil-over installation enable ride height adjustment?

It definitely is not what we're used to seeing.
Here's my set up with Racers Edge Coil overs...

nice looking setup, but I question the wisdom of not building to any rulebook. You're gonna be stuck with a track car that can't race anywhere, at least not competitively. And then if you ever decide to sell it, there's a very limited market. Nevertheless, if you're just interested in tracking it, you'll no doubt get a few years of great fun out of this setup. Keep the posts coming.

OH, my bad, didn't realize you could do that, but of course, I guess it will be considered a 968.
Probably have to ballast up a bit, new weights were passed recently, as you may know, and I was an advocate of giving the 968's a bigger break. Why am I thinking that I'm going to regret that?
Let's go racing!

Frank, for the less educated (ie me) who and what exactly were you refering to? do you mean the original post or Eddie's setup?

Sorry for causing confusion, I guess I'm looking at Chad's car; the one with a 968 motor.
