Hoosier R6 vs Kumho 710: Tire width and other questions

We run Hoosier R6's now on a 2500 pound widebody Carrera: 245/40/17 front and 295/35/17 rear. I am interested in trying out Kumho V710's, I have heard they are pretty close in performance and life to the Hoosiers and I can get them for $230 less per set. Kumho doesn't make a 295/35 rear but they do sell a 295/40.
Here is my concern though, we have custom offset wheels with no spacers and the Hoosiers are VERY tight, no rubs but no room either unless we change the alignment which we don't really want to do. According to Tirerack the Hoosiers have a section width of 11.6" and a diameter of 25.3", the Kumhos are bigger at 12.2" section and 26.1" diameter. I know the diameter with affect my gearing and I'm not too worried about that, what worries me is whether or not the tires will fit because of the width. Going off of the Tirerack numbers it looks like it will be close, but I know that tire manufacturer's published numbers often don't match real world measurements. Does anyone who has run both Hoosier R6's and V710's have any advice? Do the the Kumho's really run that much wider than the Hoosiers? What kind of camber and pressures do the V710's like? Any words of wisdom?
Thanks!

My experience is that the numbers for the Kumhos on Tire Rack's web page are pretty damn close to being correct.
My experience on a 2700 lb 911SC club racer: The 710s like pressures and camber settings that are very similar to the Hoosiers. Maybe a little less pressure (1-2 lbs). I think the 710s behave better over a wider range of pressures. They are slightly less sticky than the Hoosiers, but seem to keep their stick for more heat cycles. Their breakaway behavior is a little more forgiving than the Hoosiers and they perform better than the Hoosiers at larger slip angles. The Hoosiers are just slightly faster.
All that said, you should get the BFGs

Thanks for the info. It doesn't look like the 295's will fit but I can run 275 rears if I have to, I know they'll fit and the height is better. Now the problem is Tirerack has the 245/40/17's on backorder, 5-6 weeks out. Any other good sources for V710's?
How do you compare the BFG's to the Hoosiers? I don't know anyone running them personally.

I really like the BFGs. For my application I find them just as fast as the Hoosiers but they have more heat cycles and better wear.
Doesn't look like they make a 295 though... for 17" you'd have to use 275/40/17, and if your car needs 295/35/17 in the rear then 275 is not gonna be as sticky...
