How long will it be before Traqmate enables more inputs? Maybe Motec makes a cheaper solution? Who knows.... AIM is not being smart. I hope they are listening. I have too much invested in mine to rip it out of my car.
It's just not acceptable to have the "high end" (pricewise anyway!) solution and have the worst software of any data system out there.. I don't want to rip mine out either but sheesh...

Should we post this on gotogroupbuy.com to start getting an accurate head count of everyone interested/committed?

Sounds like the IQ3 is the superior option for only a bit more $$? I like the enhanced display feature over the Traqmate.

I don't race but do a fair number of DE's. Which is better suited for a car that is driven on both track and street?

I am thinking the traqmate is more of what i need for now.

So just to clarify, looking at the iq3 specs on their site, it's all totally gps based? So how do they know what gear you're in or when you're braking without wheel sensors?

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't the ideal setup be something that measures from sensors, films at the same time and displays all your readings and you can download and study these afterwards? I assume this exists and is very expensive. Can the IQ3 or Traqmate be linked to this type of setup? I believe so, yes? What's the additional costs?

I am still interested by the way Dan. Thanks for the efforts so far.

User error perhaps? No issues with mine.

I'm in for an IQ3 if you can swing a good deal. I have a little extra cash in my pocket this week after winning the RTR region weight loss challenge (by the rules of the competition, all winnings must be spent on frivolous upgrade to my car). This upgrade was sponsored by Kevin, Graham, Nick, Ian, Mike, Chris, Steve, John and Jeff. Thanks guys.

I am swaying that way as well, wonder if Tony can come up with a knock out deal to push us over the edge. So far we can get an IQ3 from a list sponser for $1260 shipped

It may be that the margin is not too great on these items but we should try to do better on the iq3. The list on the iq3 is $1395. I have a 15% (one time) discount from OG Racing ('08 safe racer award which I'm sure many other rennlisters also received) which would bring the price down to $1186 with free ground shipping and no sales tax charged initially as long as you're not in VA. It would be nice if the group buy price could get into the $1K range.

Guys,
There's a good deal coming. I've already got good number from Racepak direct, but I'm going out to see Bill at OG Racing tomorrow to see if we can get a better deal that way. Aiming to have both G2X and IQ3 available for the GB of course. Should have final numbers tomorrow.

Agreed on IQ3 being the better GB prospect.
