FS: '93 RSA Race Car **SOLD**
#3
Trust me, it's agonizing to make this decision. After I bought it last fall I (and my race shop) have spent alot of time and money getting it just right since it wasn't as turn key as I was told when I bought it. It is now, and a dream to drive. But with 2 tuitions to pay for when the baby gets here for child care (or a nanny) and my income severely cut by the university (us non-tenure faculty always get the short end) I need to do the responsible thing and come back to racing in a year or two when things are a bit more stable and the bank account has been built back up. I can always park it if it doesn't sell.

Hey Jack! How's the car treating ya? Hope to see you at the track soon.
Of course in the back of my mind, parking it is what I am secretly hoping for. I'm just trying to do the responsible thing right now

Thanks Tim. It really sucks. They let 7 of the 8 of us go that are in non tenure positions! All the result of crappy and irresponsible state budgets. And to think we have the North Carolina "Education" Lottery. I give that the big whatever. I'm just glad that I am still young in academia (in my 30's) and a tenure position is just a matter of time.

Congrats on baby #2. That's awesome. We just had baby boy #2 last month. Good timing. This is a good move...build up some good brownie points with the wifey so that next year you can do some racing. I'll be lucky if I do 3 track events this year. Better than nothing. I figure this was more important than any golf I might play.

Thanks Ramon. I only wish sometimes I would have stuck with golf and never sampled this drug
Pass along our hello's to the rest of the family. Looking forward to seeing you on track in the near future!

You'll start golf when you're so old that you can't hit a moving target anymore.

It's more of a sentimental thing than anything. It was the one thing that my Dad and I shared before he passed at an early age.
Oh, trust me, racing is in my blood and there is no way to leave it. If I didn't have my little boy and one on the way, a cup is what I would race. It's just these little one's are so dang expensive!
Maybe I can find a cheaper replacement even if it means doubling my lap times

D.....congrats on the up coming chitlin! Sorry to hear about the day gig and sellin' the car. Wish I could relieve you of it (the car!), but I'm not in the mood to spend that kind of $$. Still waiting for the sky to fall.
