Fiske FM10 964 Fitment Questions?
Gents, I'm looking to purchase a set of Fiskes with the following ET's for my Porsche 964.
Front 17x 8.5 ET 50
Rear 17x 10 ET 56
My questions are regarding the rear rim:
1) Can you fit a 255 rear tire on a 10" rim or would it be spread too much?
2) Do you think I would have to roll the rear lips of the rear quarter panels to fit a 275 tire?
Thanks in advance,
Dan

If you can, try the wheels on your car to confirm the fit. I have no idea what offsets mine were. If the Fikse's in question have a different offset you can possibly fit a wider tire. You can also try and call Fikse but they are harder to get information out of than the government.

Unfortunately the wheels were for sale and I was unable to do a trial fit. 17x10 rears seemed rather wide without modding the rear lip. I couldn't be sure.Regrettably I ended up passing on them.
Thanks again for your help,

I run 275 Toyo's on the back with a 9" Cup 1 replica. Just a 1/4" spacer for oil line clearance. Obviously, each car is different from this era. Bilstein Euro RS street car shocks with progressive springs of unknown brand.

Fikse's are nice but forget customer service!
Buy some Vaseline first if you are going to purchase from Wheel Enhancement. They won't even give you a kiss. They screwed up some offsets on some FM10s on my 964 and acted like no big deal, get some spacers. Not really what I want to hear after spending $3200 on a new set of wheels. Friggin' thieves.
10s will be a tight fit so you will need to confirm the correct offsets for certain, but you would want to run 275 on the rear, especially with 10s.

Ken and Tucker thanks for the input. It seems size 275's and 9' are the way to go on the rear if I want to be on the safe side. What size tires and rims are you guys running in the front ? Am I wrong to assume if your running the 275's that 235 are correct for the front?

Are you going to race? The different classes have wheel size requirements. If you are going to DE, I would suggest 8 1/2 fronts with 245 or maybe even 255 (track only- it will be a little more doficult to park and sharp turns may rub) and 9 1/2 rears with 275. Beginner to DE, Michelin PS 2

10s are a tight fit and spacing will need to be in the high to mid forties (45 to 47mm). I was also running 275 on cup 1s with 47mm stock offset and had to get 1.5mm shims (spacers) to clear oil line and or trailing arm.

Thanks guys. It appears all of you are running different combinations. Steve I had no idea you could fit those size tires on the car. As Tucker mentioned I suppose thats because of the different rules. No racing just DE. In fact I'm as green as they come, my first DE is coming up at Mid Ohio. Its just that I had come upon a set of used Fikses for a great price and thought I'd buy them. I presently have cup 2's on the car 225/255's with Falken 615's. The car will be used for auto X too. Thanks for the advise about the PS-2's.
I suppose I'm just thinking ahead of myself. Should I come across another set of Fikses I'd like to get them in the correct ET's and purchase the correct size tires without having to roll the fenders.
CWAY27, appreciate the specific ET's for the 275 tire. What was the width of your rim?
Thanks again for the input. Its been a huge help.

RT-615 will serve you well if it's your first time out. Some clubs wont even let you out if you have anything more hardcore on your first time out anyway!! For sure less headaches is to stay with 8 fronts and 9 rears. beyond that you will have to either get 200% perfect offset for your car which is impossible cause all cars are different, or will have to do a little fender rolling, hammer the oil line etc.

Thanks for reinforcing the Falkens. I was a little concerned about my first DE tire choice. I understand now what your saying about 8's and 9's being the safe bet. I didn't realize these cars were that different from each other.

I run 275 RA1 on 10" BBS in the rear. It's very very tight. Getting the correct offset is key. Remember some tires are wider than others even if they are both 275.
