Swimming with the sharks......

Van, it was good racing with you this week-end......

In that situation, you should have sticked closer with the red GT3 you were racing, since he was making a pass on the Cayman (maybe you could have made the pass too since he was going a lot slower than your pace at that point?), but definitively the mistake IMHO is to concurrently stay wide and allow the faster cars behind you pass you at the same time (that your race rival is putting traffic in between you)!
As mentioned above the faster cars will get around you and they know how to... most likely by faster corner exit and passing you on the straight (like I did just after - in the White Cayman).
It was my rookie race too and it was good to race you out there. Good job!

Sharks indeed!
Looks to me like that black 911 is holding up the whole queue, none of whom were feeling dicey enough to make the pass.
Nevertheless, Paolo, looks like you stayed in it, very controlled and steady, even catching back up after being balked, and well aware of your surroundings.
An admirable first outing, you did our profession proud!

Am I to assume that visiting a dental professional just back from their first club race might not be a good idea?
I am sensing some distraction from your work here.

You really should try the "wild" side, like Qwickrick, myself and DanR. did, you might be surprised.....

Well done Paolo! Mark (Sunday) already caught what I noticed about staying too close to a slower car, back off and build momentum. Still, no crashes - a great start!
