That would explain it. The curve in the upper spoke as it rotates forward for each subsequent scan down and the bottom spoke rotating back for each scan down.

Then it was just having the wheel rotating at the right speed and starting in the right place.

Put your hand on a flatbed scanner sideways and when it starts, slide your hand away from the scan bar slowly. You will have LONG fingers.

I hear chicks dig long fingers.
sorry. I'm grumpy from waking up for the "F1" race.

Echoing an artifact of the raster scan of the camera. I have the same problems when I use the camera on my old Treo. Here's a photo I took in Japan that didn't turn out as well as I'd have hoped:

something strange about the wheel.

The photo below is not photoshoped or doctored in anyway. Can anyone
explain what caused the effect.

I think it has to do with torque. Or maybe horsepower....

It has more to do with torque, because torque is superior to horsepower.

Massive torque can twist the metal in the spokes to turn straight spoked wheels into twists.

I've been waiting for some time for someone to build a rear-engined FWD car.

The wheel well and tire is distorted as well. And did you notice that warning in your side view mirror? You clearly have a twisted, distorted view of things. Better slow the flagnog down!
