Default St. Pete Grand Prix ALMS

Here are few pics that are "not your regular" race pictures from today's ALMS practice.
I tried to find interesting and different images other than the cars on track, which were covered during Sebring by some great photographers.
1. Darren Law GT3
2. Acura LMP 1 during Post Qualy Tech
3. FL GT3

In my RSR we had engineered the perfect tube length to get 6 hp more using the FIA restrictor. If you can figure out the pulse rate of the air when it comes in at the RPM that you will be the most at on the track (say 6,000 in a 7800 RPM engine), you can make the tube be just right for that and get a few welcome ho more... kind of a varioram but only good for one data point... It worked!!!

I frequent OT mostly, I thought I'd just give the OT crew a chance to look. I'll be back to Racing/DE for Lime Rock and beyond.

Direct link that you may not have to wade through some of the usual OT stuff (with the new politics sub-forum, most of the OT nastiness has really been cleaned up):

Anyone know what happened to the Ferrari? I forgot to set the DVR.
Nice weekend, slim field of course, but some good racing.
The 87 car was fast til it had a tire failure :-(

I believe the F car had a front left suspension failure. Don't quote me though.

Risi said it was a suspension failure and their press release said a cause wasn't known. I hope both the IndyCar Series and the American Le Mans Series don't return to that St Pete track. EJ Viso had blisters from the indycar race.
