Default My 997 GT3's first track day

I must say that "I like it, I like it a lot".
As my driving coach said: "More better in every way"
Thanks to Mooty for helping me stay the course.

Fantastic! These cars are a blast on the track. Now let's talk about asking Mooty for advice.

I kept looking at non GT3 cars after selling my 996GT3. Turbos,CaymanS,Lotus. He was right, the GT3 ruined every other car for me.

thanks doc. I really enjoyed my 996GT3 and tracked it twice a month. I thought the 997 would be a lesser car. Could not have been more wrong.

Can you give a more detailed explaination of what your 996 GT3 had as far as mods and compare it on track to the 997 GT3? Thanks.

LWFW
fabspeed headers,cats,mufflers
trg rear bits and mono *****,WEVO mounts
track alinement
RW wing
Hoosier R-6 / PS2 in the wet

Great car but the stock 997 GT3 is a very good car. stable better brakes and ABS does not come on a quickly. the car is planted. I am looking forward to the alinement and Hoosiers, GMG exhaust.
997: in boiled down terms: the 996GT3 felt like it was going faster than it really was: the 997GT3 feels like it is going slower than it really is.

1: planted in braking
2: front does not hunt at all
3: turn in is unreal
4: quicker on exit

I did not really push the car 6/10s but I looking forward to moving forward. I would ask other converts Mooty, to give their feedback after >1 year experience.
