So this actually IS going to happen then huh? I'm in too for any foundations.

Has a date been set yet?

What if it rains? Then hp will certainly be better. LOL.

Dunno, but it looks like it.

What once appeared as a moronic juvenile idea that was bound to end badly, but was fun to joust about, may actually do a good thing cloaked in some good-natured fun at Spartacus' expense.

If it rains, I'll go straighter longer!

Thanks, Bobby & all who have said they'd be willing to support this proposed charity event.

I would not mind someone like John D being the moneykeeper, if he has the time & inclination.

Its not about the torque that matters. It is all about the ratio of the money being spent on tires to the life expectancy of human life on earth that gives you the total grip they will make. Or in other words, "what did I just say?"

In all seriousness, great solution to the problem. I am in for a contribution to the charity of choice.

Also what is the deal with the Rennlist Thrilla in Manllia event? How did all this psycho internet babble come about?

Well...it came about due to my repeatedly calling BS on Spartacus' barrage of BS on hp versus tq. So FredBeans decided to stir the pot some more, and it was great fun....until reality intruded.

It's nice to see that A "Twig & Berries" Wayne remains as predictable as a Swiss train schedule.

What an excellent positive spin to this!! Great idea, and I'll be more than happy to donate to that. The other purpose and means of collection was really strange, in a "fool born every minute" sort of way.

Well we COULD do this event with a matched pair of Lancer Evolutions, but I think 944's are a little more fair.

Porsche due to cost- a set of brakes for my Evo is almost what I paid for the 944 to turn into a Spec car, and the cost of a clutch plus brakes IS MORE than what I paid for the 944 spec donor car. A set of brakes for the 944 is less than what VR will spend at the bar celebrating- win or lose.
