Default Sunroof Hold-Down In 944

What is the best way to fasten the sunroof down? I have removed the sunroof motor. The car is a track ONLY 944T. Should I fashion tabs or brackets? Use bolts or rivets? Photos of what you have done will really help. Thanks

Steve

fab some plates and bolt it from underneath. You can use the stock latch locations for the bolting into the sunroof.

I just used latches from a manual sunroof. Quick and easy to remove if necessary.

you all have me worried now,

I removed the sunroof motor and assumed it would have no issue as the roof panel still has the original clips attached to it. Is this safe?

I used machine screws. Held it down tight. :P
Seriously, I did.
Now I'm going fiberglass roof though. A bit more class.

I did something like Joe and fabbed 2 plates. I use manual sunroof latches in the rear, with the front screwed in.

Nothing. That is the beauty of useing the stock locations. I just bolted in to the existing holes in the sunroof.

Not in the back.

Here's what my shop did. (Note the plate.) There are also machined plates bolted in where the stock latches go. The attachments work perfectly.
