Wikipedia needs updating then, there says he was born in England. I believe they got the next bit right though about being brought up in Australia.

There was a big deal made about him running the Peugeot in last year's Le Mans, and how he was born not even 2 miles from the track there.

And the first line in Wikipeida says:

Sébastien Bourdais (born February 28, 1979 in Le Mans) is a French Formula One race car driver. He is one of the most successful drivers in the history of the Champ Car World Series, having won four successive championships from 2004 to 2007.

Getting crossed paths here, thought that the Canadian in question was Windsor, not Bordais!

Windsor comes off as one of those hard to place but British schooled expats/colonials. I thought I had heard something about Canadian background with him also, maybe a parent???..
