Also no sound restrictions & cheap hotels (compared to LRP) at NJMP is another big plus.

Did I hear correctly that there was car-to-car contact in the instructor run group yesterday?
I hope not.

I'll be there. First time on T-bolt. Can't wait. I had a 8.31 R&P put in and am wondering what that's going to be like. My 19 year old son is doing the novice day in the 997. He's a bit excited as well.

Here is what I understand happened. 993 race car being driven very fast, pursued nose to tail by cup car. Cup car considers a point by for the 993 to be for him too. Boxter points by 993 then turns in, not being aware of following cup car until too late. I saw the Cup go sideways but didn't see the contact. Damage to Boxter was minimal from what I saw (one side only). I never saw the cup afterward. This was unrelated to the extended passing regime.

I was about 15ft away and over heard both drivers talking after incident. Cup car driver was saying that boxster driver used a double pump pass signal meaning two cars can pass and Boxster driver claimed he didn't.

I witnessed the incident and it had nothing to do with expanded passing zones.

It was a great event. Schattenbaum organizers always make it so.

2 wonderful days - shed the winter cobwebs, great weather, met old friends and made some new. Good times.

Thanks to all.

Too bad I missed meeting everyone. I was there with my friend & his 993 which we just finished setting up the suspension and after the 2nd session the motor let go. The thing was really flying too. I wasn't in the mood to walk around after that.

Larry,
Was that the one that let go big time around turn 5 on Thursday.?I don't know how ,but you guys managed to not get much if any fluids on the track.Good job.
That was one of the biggest clouds of smoke I,ve ever seen.Hope you guys are able to salvage some of it.
+1 on the event.Always laid back and fun to attend.I wish all regions ran DE's this way.
Tom B.
