Default Has anyone used Bose headphones for racing

My earphones I normally use for races are shot and I was going to order another set. I currently own a set of Bose headphones (not noise cancelling). They fit as comfortable as my semi-custom mold earphones. As anyone used these in a race? I just worried whether they'll be 'loud' enough. They sure feel as sound tight as the others.

Thank God you didn't include a link to a picture of your ears as well!

Not Bose but a couple of different Ipod sets. They don't really work. The car radios are in mono and broadcast to both ears. The ipod sets are stereo and you only hear out of one ear.

I have a blackberry with a double ear headset that I think is mono so those may work.

You can fix that with a simple in-line stereo-to-mono plug, by the way, available at most Targets, etc.

In that case, they worked fine...

that also means that instead of dropping $100 on ear buds we can all use $10.00 walmart cheapies? Good information.

This might be the connector you need, depending on your buds.

Thanks guys. Think I may just try it out. I'm only driving as a co-driver in the enduro at Sebring, so if it doesn't work, not a huge deal. If I start getting lapped, I can always unplug the headset from the radio and plug in the Ipod to listen to motivational stuff

Manny, you don't need any headphones for Sebring. I don't want Tremper telling you where you are on track in relation to Pop and myself! The info above regarding the earbuds is correct though. I've used my buds to listen to IPod before sprint races and you only hear from 1 ear.

H will be fun in the enduro... one of the 'faster' classes in relation to the group. Whereas the sprint they're out with Norm, Musante, etc!
