painting or powdercoating for calipers?

Yes, I totally agree. If you are going to go the powdercoat way.. you need to rebuild them. You have to take all of the caliper apart anyways, so why not put new parts in when they go back together? There is NO way I would powdercoat any caliper without taking them all the way apart. There would be no way to get them clean enough.

Very nice job turbobrat and agree 100% with your statement. I have powdercoated a bunch of parts and can assure that it will hold nicely on the calipers but like everything else, prep work is the key of success. I always thought that big reds were powdercoated from the factory.

All I know is what ever the factory uses made my Big Reds look like Big Maroons after several years of track time
