Budget 944 Turbo GT3 Build

I have an extra turbo / motor mount for sale if you need one still. (how the hell did you break that in that way?) I also noticed that you aren't running the adjustable blade sway bar anymore. What made you swap back out?

Matt,
Thanks, it's a lot of fun on the track!

I had another motor mount on hand, it is fixed. I guess I'm just special, I seem to have experienced a lot of really unique failures with this car. The adjustable front sway bar needs modification to clear the dry sump pump. I put in a fixed sway bar so I could get out to the last track day of the season here. I expect to get it figured out and back on for spring.
Currently working on custom intercooler pipes.

Have you ventilated your motor or dry sump system and if so, where? Just run something off the oil tank? Do you know how much vacuum the system is pulling?

I haven't quite got there yet (motor still on engine stand) but was looking for where my motor had been ventilated like in a normal wet sump situation and it wasn't there. Upon investigation I was told by the builder that it was developing 10-15" Mercury and didn't need ventilation. Meaning he ran it on an engine dyno and monitored vacuum via a sensor out of the cambox. I assumed that the motor would still need to run a catch can but the oil tank becomes the catch can and it can be ventilated if needed. If the motor produces more vacuum it has been suggested to run a valve that allows air in, not out of the block. I'm running basically the same dry sump as you.

Hard Pipes
Pressure tested new hard pipes today. Vacuum system sure is simple without AOS line, non recirculating BOV and no idle air control setup. Only unused port is waiting for another sensor to get turbo out temperature.

After 7 years finally got my 944 Turbo out for another race! Had a blast at the PCA event at Heartland Park. A big Thank You to the KC Region PCA for putting on a great event. Also big thank you to Charlie Brown at Evergreen Turbo. My car made more power at 13lb of boost than it ever has at 18lb. The track surface there is fantastic.
A little video:
Missed 'Sprint 1' with a broken rear axle but drove the fun race and Sprint's 2 and 3 to 3rd place overall finishes. Even drove it on the trailer :O

Since I seem to kill splitters so quickly, I decided to make one that takes a minimum of time and money to replace. The 'bebond' is about 75 bucks a sheet. The little fairing parts I made on my 3d printer, took about 15 bucks of filament.
