I just found out that Sylvain Tremblay's wife was killed last Friday in an accident in Sotuh Florida.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008 from 5-7 p.m. at the Embassy Suites in Deerfield Beach, Fla.

This is very, very sad news. I can feel the pain Sylvain's family must be going through. It sounds like she was a wonderful person. Such a tragic loss.

The part that really bothers me is that this is the classic -> "Person driving an SUV crosses the center line, runs head on into a smaller car, kills the occupant(s) of the smaller car and walks away." One of my 16 year old son's High School classmates was killed this very same way not long ago.

All of you driving small cars, please be extra careful out there. And, all of you driving bigger cars (and trucks) please watch out for the small cars!!!

My son turned 16 not long ago and most parents prefer to give their children a small fuel efficient vehicle. Not me. My son drives my tow vehicle (which is a 2005 GMC Yukon XL 3/4 ton with an 8.1 liter gasoline engine). The smallest street car in my family is my daily driver which is a BMW 540.

I have considered the Tremblays to be a part of my life for many years.
Although I have never touched their lives in ways that they may have noticed, they have touched my life in ways that I will never forget.
Being from Coral Springs I have watched Sylvain's career for many years, and have watched from a distance the grace and professionalism and, have always been in awe.
