Saw the car, spoke with the driver; swore by his HANs. I'm getting mine before the next event. Too bad for the car, it was a nice clean ride. I'm sure it will be better off after the fixes. I suggested it was a blessing -- time for the wide body kit!

Love the R3. I have had both. My Hans was an earlier version and it had problems with the belts slipping off a bit. They have made them better now with a ridge but the great thing about the R3 is it can be used with 3 point belts.

No real answer to the issue, but I believe its coming sooner than later. It won't take too many incidents of expensive cars requiring significant repairs for the insurance companies to start cancelling you after your first on-track incident, or the policy saying the car and occupants are not covered if they're on a race track.

no, you did right.
it's better to spend $500 more today, then wait for the reduced cost one only to find out you hit the wall and break your neck while waiting.

In my first DE, I was turning 120 MPH at the end of the straight at Thunderhill. The 3.6 is a quick engine. So the speed isn't really the issue.

For me it was simply, will this be enough fun to drop another 5-10K into my car? The answer is Hell Yeah!
