Pictures from Hallett PCA Race

For anybody considering getting into club racing, the 2nd to last picture shows two rookies in their 2nd sprint race ever (number 11 and the 944 turbo to its right, me #397). It was great fun, and I am looking forward to the next club race.

It was LOADS of fun this year. Thanks to all the Cimarron folks and the Team from National. Outstanding weekend! Watching Bryan and Brian going after it in the closing laps of Sprint 2 was a lot of fun - even if it was AFTER they lapped me!
The 935 was a lot of fun to watch right up to the half-way point of Yellow Sprint 2. It was painful to watch Gary's car smoke up at T3. David Baker walked away with Sprint 2. Awesome drive.
Thanks again to the Cimarron folks - it was a GREAT weekend!

Would you mind posting a few of the times from the various class cars? I have driven Hallet a couple of times and want to know how my 1:24:xxx times stack up from my last shake down outing.

Complete results will be on pca.org in about a week. I didn't save the printed results but I believe the range in the yellow race group was 1:19 to 1:32. Several G & H class guys in the yellow race were in the range of 1:26-1:28. In the red group the fastest E car was around a 1:26.

thx. I'll check the results when they're up. Looks like I'm middle of the yellow pack. I can get the car into 21's pretty easy over there, but I'll need the Michelin slicks to do it. I really do like that track. Glad to hear everyone had a good time over there. The pics are great and congrats to the guys in their first ever club race.

What a great weekend! Really good racing & the weather was textbook. We brought our buddy, Brad Roberts from boxsterspec.com to hang out & he was a big help getting a couple of the new guys up to speed. We had 6 Spec Box cars & had a great time running together. We also got to spend some time playing with our new Traqmate systems. Here's a few more pics:

Hey, good pics. See one of my car. Broke the tranny and had to end early. Stuck in 3rd gear so had to end the second sprint early with only 5 min. left. Great weather and great weekend.
The race between the two guys in the first picture was a blast to watch. The 911 in the rear prevailed. Can't wait to get back on track...

By the way, ran 1:27s to 1:28s. My buddies were 1:26s to 1:27s. I need a new motor with 15% leak down across the board. Can't wait to get back and give them another shot next year... What a blast.
