And yes you are correct in that your opinion is discredited just as mine is.

sure looks like the mazda moved outside either by choice or loss of control. I would have turned in exactly the same way as the BMW did and tried to make the corner after the Mazda initiated contact. It's either that or run right off the track because the Mazda was not going to make the turn.

Notice that I am not posting my opinion even when asked. I want to try to keep this a neutral discussion about racing and at the same time post it up on another forum where there aren't as many BMW or Mazda fans. I am trying to keep it as neutral as I possibly can.

Read the stuff on the other forum as well. Some interesting opinions about 'racing room' over there.

Looks as simple as the Mazda thinking he had cleared the BMW and moving over to setup for 10a. Once he makes contact with the BMW, the BMW is forced to turn to counter the force from the other car and to have an opportunity to make the turn.
Something like what we see in ALMS alot with the LMP cars thinking they are clear of the GT cars but then pushing them off the track instead (Sebring Audi vs RSR anyone), but in slow (er) motion.
The mazda is to blame if anyone. The BMW kept a straight line for as long as he could.
