Default NJMP VIP Suite - how are they?

Have any of you stayed in the NJMP VIP Suites yet? If so, how are they?

Are the sofa beds comfortable as a bed?

Mark, the rooms have 2 pull out couch beds with a very very thin mattress. If your back is sensitive you may want to consider sleeping on the couch without pulling out the bed. Depending on the event they may provide room service for breakfast. They sit around 10 people including the 4 bar stools that most move outside onto the balcony to watch the front straight. The catered food is fine. If you are renting for a pro race no need to set your alarm, the garages below awake around 6:45.

Too bad that they didn't install Murphy beds like those in the garage suites at VIR.

I was thinking the same thing. I have yet to find a pull out couch that I can get a good nights sleep on. Typically have to remove the mattress and place on the floor.

The Murphy beds at VIR work great. Hope they consider changing to those at some point.

Comfortable pull-outs don't exist, unless it is something like a Futon. I too use the mattress on the floor approach. The bigger you are, the worse the pull-outs are!

Fortunately, NJMP is not like VIR in that there are good beds close to the track, not 20+ minutes away like VIR.

I checked them out at the Grand-Am race, the maids were cleaning up a room and one of the sofa beds was still pulled out, had the mattress from the 2nd sofa bed stacked on top, double-decker like. FWIW, I was disappointed with the way it was furnished, seemed like they could have done better. I was told by someone staying there at the time that the VIR rooms were nicer. I really wanted to rent it, but not with a sofa bed...

The VIR rooms are nicer, both at the Garage Suites and at The Lodge, where real beds are used.
