Default VIR Lodge advice needed

I have a chance to reserve the last room at the Lodge at VIR (December 12-14th, 3rd annual US Kart Grand Prix www.uskgp.com ... missed it last year).

Anyone stayed in these before? How many beds?
Would it be 'acceptable' for my bride (in case she comes down to watch her son race)?

Thanks

As a member at VIR, I stay there for EVERY event I go to. The Lodge is fantastic but much more pricey than the hotels in Danville. There are 2 full/queen beds in all the rooms except the hadicap room I think which has one bed. There are also the villas which are a bit more but great if you share with others.

I always try and stay on the grounds at vir saves a ton of time driving back and forth and the rooms are very nice. It is also nice if you have family with you as they can be on thier own schedules

It's a very presentable room. Kind of reminds me of a nicer ski lodge. I'd have no qualms bringing my wife, and she's a total priss. Downside is you can't just wander down a hall and grab breakfast. You're sort of isolated from civilization. But then most of Danville is isolated from civilization.

We always stay at the Lodge...great room. And they DO have King bed rooms Dell...that's what we're staying in for our Carolinas DE in November and what we always stay in....

They give you a muffin, juice, coffee, and used to give a bowl of cereal and milk in the fridge in each room. Small breakfast, but who cares? it's stumbling distance from the Pub up on the hill!

The lodge is very nice and well worth it. The wife can watch things go round from the room if she likes. The villa's are even nicer still but I really like the suites over the garages. The only down side that you are stuck (I think) after the gates close.

Lodge is very nice.
Garage suites are too, but can get noisy during some races (like Stinger in NASA), but overall great...can look right over the track.
The Villas look awesome, but haven't tried 'em yet.

As everyone has said the Lodge is nice but if you want the best at VIR rent one of the Villas. The view of the climbing esses is almost worth the price of admission...

I have stayed at The Lodge since the year it opened, and would not hesitate to bring my wife to stay there. I make my reservations for the following year when I leave my last event of the year at VIR. The Villas are even better if you need the extra room, kitchen, etc.

I stayed at the villas last weekend and was quite imressed. I think your bride would be pleased with the villas.

Thanks everyone.
I'll see if there is anything available at the Villas.
AFAIK, they said everything was already sold out....the USKGP gets people from around the world (Great Britain, Europe, Australia) to come and race at VIR. The Juniors should be hitting 90-95mph (limited by aero drag since no fairings are allowed, just standard CIK bodywork)......but I won't tell the bride.
