Default Need source for slotted rotors

I have a 2002 996TT with Big Yellows, 6 piston front calipers and 350mm discs at all corners. My drilled rotors are forming small cracks so I need to replace the fronts with slotted rotors. Where's the best place to buy them, and at what price point?

The drilled rotors do crack. I've been using Farnbacher's solid / slotted rotors on my GT3. Their support is great. Their rotors are a drop in replacement fit for the OEM rotors. Check and see if they have one for your car.

Cracks are normal. THere is a protocol from the factory (it's in your manual or do a search as someone has posted it here before) about when to replace rotors.

Steve -- Is that the porsche motorsports version or yours?

Larry -- I believe the crack protocal was no crack made it to the outside surface and no two holes connected by crack (but I'd confirm for sure).

Default Slotted Rotors

Chris Whaley has been posting his rotors for sale on Rennlist. They are made by Sebro and I bought a set front and rear. Think his company is LC Motorsports. Will see how they work at Road Atlanta. First time I have been able to find rear slotted for my 996. Search "Whaley"

Believe it or not, I have been using a set of ATE slotted rotors on the front with Pagid yellow for 17 track days (agressive use of brakes as I have no HP). I'm on my third set of Pagids with little wear on the disks. Bought them based on deminsions and they were relatively cheap compared to the alternatives. These are on a track dedicated Cayman.

You'd have to contact PH to get more info on the Sebro Sport Slotted rotors they have. I believe it applicable for the Boxster Spec.
