Default Fatality at Road America yesterday - Fall Vintage Festival

Copied from a different forum since I was not told any specific details at the track today:

Yesterday, a gentleman driving a Green Eastlake 11 came up on a Mini who was stopped at track side getting a tow. The yellow was not visible, but was displayed. The Westlake spun and slid into the Mini, killing the Westlake driver. The Mini driver was ok, but a safety worker was also injured.

Drivers name is Surgit
Sorry, that is all I have at the moment. Stay safe out there guys.

Oh no...That is just awful.

RIP....And Peace be with his whole family.

I hope the safety worker will recover.

Do you know what turn this was in? How was the yellow displayed, but not visible?

I heard it was in the Billy Mitchell turn.

I knew him well. Great guy & true enthusiast in the best sense. Huge loss, very sad. Memorial blog here: http://www.surjithermon.blogspot.com/
I do not feel comfortable posting details beyond what on the blog - please don't ask, thanks.

I just spoke with a one of the 'in the know' people at RA.

There was no injury to a safety worker. It was at track out for Turn 13 (billy mitchell).

All flags were visible and correctly displayed according to track video.
