TGPR track day - thx for the advise
I just wanted to thank the folks for the advise regarding tire pressures.
I started of by taking out about 5 lbs of pressure but when i came in from my first session my rears were at 55lb!
So i took at 15lb from the rears and about 10 from the front to end up with hot pressures of about 36 F and 38R.
When i went out in the next session i took it easy for the first lap and a half as suggested, the tires felt very strange, but after a lap and a half it felt great. It was a little disconcerting looking at my display telling me i had 4 flat tires , but i pressed on.
When i got back to the pits unknown to me soem folks were timing me and a iwas running in the 1.10's consistently. That is 2 seconds a lap better than my previous visit.
I did have one little agricultural excursion where my experimenting with trail braking didnt really pan out.....
Im pretty sure i need to get a pure track car, i think i want to go the spec boxster route, but thanks again everyone for the help.
cheers
