i think we should have enough interest in doing it over the winter. Seems to be at least 5 or 6 people racing now.

I race online with a bunch of rennlisters on Forza 2 so I'm not new to the whole online racing thing..

But I have a few questions as I'm looking at their site..

1.It looks like it comes with 10 or so cars after you download it and about 10 tracks too. Is it like Forza where you buy or download extras (ie: Cup Cars...other tracks..?)
2.How hard is it if you don't have a steering wheel? Would the Microsoft wheel work?

Thanks!

1. Almost limitless cars and tracks of every type imaginable, all free downloads
2. As long as the wheel is seen in Windows it will most likely work. Without a wheel is not going to be fun.

Thanks for answering. I assume the Logitech G25 steering wheel will connect?

Am I blind, or do I just not see where you 'download' stuff on their website? - NVM on that

G25 is an excellent choice that works in XP, Vista32 and Vista64 (just download the latest appropriate drivers, don't use the ones that come in the box). You must register on the site in order to download AFAIK, but it's all free.

I use a $35 ebay special. Microsoft Sidewinder Force-feedback. It does the trick and it's cheap!

Thanks

You can get rFactor here as a download - http://www.rfactor.net/ or get the CD in a couple days here - http://www.amazon.com/rFactor-V-1-255-Pc/dp/B000VOSQ0Q and forgo the updates required and have a physical copy. Other than that you need a wheel (the Logitech G25 is the best choice for a reasonable price) and then download the car sets and tracks you want to run from the site previously listed.. I may put my "Guide" back online this year but that is the general idea...

Cadwell Park was a blast last week.....what a fun and challenging track!

However, drop one wheel on the grass and your done!!

This week we are doing Bathhurst. I am trying to confirm which version.

Will let you know when I find out.

Thanks
Mike

Holy cow. What a GREAT mod. This has completely changed my outlook on rFactor. Now with this, and finally figuring out how to decrease that annoying head shake at speed its like a whole new game!

I don't have Bathurst in my track list from the PCC 2007 mod. Is this a track that needs to be downloaded separately?

Yes the track has to be downloaded separately.

We are running Bathurst ORSM v1.1 this week.

Hope to see you Wed. at 8 pm EST.

BTW, after we practice for 15 minutes or so we run 5 lap races until about 9:30.

Thanks
Mike

Hi Justin, no problem, don't watch ......race. We don't take things too seriously....this is for fun. We have a range of skill out there.

Hope you can make it.

Also, let me know if you want me to add you to the email list I send around each week where we discuss which track we will race in the future.

Thanks
Mike
