My saintly wife had a TraqMate/Chasecam installed for my birthday!
This is the first video from the new setup. It's my fastest lap of the weekend at Sebring.



I'm going to enjoy learning how to use the TraqMate to improve my laptimes! I'm already sharing & comparing.

Terry, that was awesome, you really adapted to that car fast!! also funny that four other guys in your race shop have the traqmate set up and not a one of them is able to post a vid like that!

Great stuff. How did you settle on the traqmate setup vs. others?

 

Thanks Tom! The TraqMate is something else. Way too much info for a geek like me. I've been analyzing the segment times and comparing my performance to guys like Erik and it's pretty eye opening!

The next time we go to Sebring, I'm going to put down 3 or 4 laps using second gear into turns 3, 10 and 13. Then I'm going compare that to my segment times when I stay in 3rd gear. 2nd feels faster, but the segment times and exit speeds will tell the tale.

I'm also going to hike up my skirt and try and enter turn one like Erik! ...gulp!

I am so not touching that one!

 

It was a case of Monkey-See, Monkey-Do. Like TKerrMD said - a bunch of other guys started showing up at the track with their TraqMate systems and I wanted to get in on the fun.

TraqMate came to the shop during an open-house PCA event and put on a great demo. I got to ask lots of questions and was sold on the system.

....Then I dropped a bunch of none-too-subtle hints to my wife about what I wanted for my birthday.

I agree with VR, you should be able to squeeze out a few more seconds. no problem.

it looks like you're not even working. for 2:20's -damn it!

 

There's no doubt about it, I've got room to grow in this car. I'm learning a lot. I've already got some data that shows me where I can improve a little in 10 & 13 and I'm over-slowing for 16.

Now if I can just make fewer mistakes and be more consistent.....
