I used to crew for Gilles Villeneuve when he ran the Formula Atlantic series in the late 70's in the "Direct Film" March Atlantic cars. He was sitting in the car in the hot pits and waved me away when I went to wash his helmet visor. He waved me back to listen and said "If I see too much; I get too scared".

One of my Skippy school instructors some 35 years ago, almost.... "If you don't come back with just the steering wheel every now and then you're not trying hard enough!" To which one of his fellow instructors who overheard the remark replied, "If you crash the car you deserve to die!" They were a real fun group as I recall.
