Anyone have a recommendation for where to stay when visiting MMC? Somehow, dont know how, CVR got two days there 9/18,19 and being a brandy new track I couldnt resist (three new tracks in one year in the NE, is this the stuff or what?). Anyhoo, looking for racer level accommodations, the Enzo is in the shop, so I really need to conserve this month. Any suggestions? Who else is going?

I posted this same question a week ago - maybe you can find it and the replies. I just canceled my 2-room reservation at The Lodge at Rock Hill (friends I was booking with are keeping one of the rooms), which is 7.7 miles from the track and a nice and safe facility (I hear you don't want to lodge in downtown Monticello). Sorry I can't make it...

A bit further away are 3 hotels in Middletown, NY, right at the intersection of 84 and 17....

The Hampton Inn, Courtyard by Marriott and Microtel. All 3 are in the same parking lot, along with a TGI Fridays, Chili's and Outback Steakhouse......which also delivers to the rooms. 10 second walk from the hotels to the restaurants, and right next door is a State Police barracks (safe parking).
There is a Super WalMart one exit up (for those last minute items you always seem to need) as well as many restaurants and shops.

My son and I stay there every weekend for his (kart) racing.

You have to ask for the Monticello Motor Club rate because you are coming in for the CVR Event there. The price is $89 a night.
