More dumb Hoosier questions:
I just bought a set of Hoosiers for my 86 911. The front suspension is stock with 22 mm t-bars. I can't modify the front for several reasons, primarily Stock E rules and time before the next event.
I am using 951 7" Fuchs ( I do have a 911 set but offsets are the same if it makes a difference)
The 225/50/16 Hoosiers do not look like they will fit. They are about 1/2 wider than the Toyo r888's of the same size and only a ch narrower than the 245 Toyos in the picture. The edge of the tire matches the edge of the fender. The fenders are rolled but the lip has not been cut off.
Are these going to rub? I really don't want to get to VIR and discover a problem. What are others' experiences with Hoosiers on a stock set up?
I'm under the gun to get a solution. Any assistance is appreciated.

are fenders are rolled? camber settings are ??? (-2.5)
can you make suspension stiffer or raise height? or even shim the fenders?
car looks street legal, have you tested it? hit some curbs at low speeds...
fwiw, I'm running 225' x 50 (but x 15") on a 71 911... it should work. GL!

Scott, PM me how much camber you have. You'll need to either trim or really roll the fenders, but most of us are running 245's in Hoosiers without problem. Remember they go up and in on compression. What are the offsets of the wheels?

BTW, your ride height looks high (hard to tell from the pic though). It should look better if you lower the ride height. Do you know what your ride height is?

Streak - you can roll the fenders with a small baseball bat using the tire (and a friend to roll the car) for leverage. You can also flatten the lips with a hammer using a piece of 2x4 as a backer on the outside when you whack it. If you get the outside of the fenders to be good, be sure to check the edges of the steel on the shock tower as they can cut the inside.. In the rear be sure the oil lines don't rub, especially the rubber one.. it makes for an exciting trip..

I had the same setup on my '86 Targa. Not good. I was cutting the **** out of the fronts. I switched to 23mm T-Bars and no problem. I realize that that might not work for you but after rolling and pounding that was the only way I got it done.
