With the merger, it would have been nice to see a commitment to a USA chassis manufacturer with a superior platform. Panoz is still reeling from CART's demise...another round of layoffs last week (great timing...'tis the season!).

The Indy cars either need more power or a better chassis. Otherwise, they'll soon be eclipsed by those "heavy" "clunky" LMPs on the road courses. In 2008, 3/10ths separated the pole Indy car from the pole Audi at St Pete; 7/10ths separated the pole Indy car from the pole Acura at Mid-O.
