You can't win all your DEs.........

If you went both feet in, you did it too late...the car was already shooting back across the track. You also pulled your foot off the brake after the car got to the center of the track, which is the reason the car reversed from spinning clockwise to counter-clockwise. Once the car was "lost" in the grass, going both feet in sooner would have resulted in a lot less dangerous spin for you and the other cars on the track with you.
At the moment, while on the grass I just felt that both feet in would have made the car skid faster than just lifting......again, it just happened so fast......
Thank you all for your inputs.....and another chance for me to learn........

Your instructors are being conservative with their advice, as they should be to a DE student. I turn in and immediately go about 80+% throttle, squeezing on throttle until just past the apex. The last thing I want to see when I crest the hill is a car spinning and darting in multiple directions. There's very little you can do when you take that corner at the limit as you're using every bit of grip and pavement just to hang on.
I'm uploading a video now of someone following me at Tremblant. I'll post it as soon as it's on Youtube.

Only been there once, but it's easily one of my top 5 tracks. GREAT track, and the ski village is a fun place to hang out after the day is done. The only negative is that it's the only track we've ever raced where we have to switch out our 1 muffler side exhaust for a 2 muffler rear exit.

BTW: Paolo, this is why people often say that the difference between a spin and a crash is a matter of luck. Be careful out there and I'm glad it worked out for you this time. It doesn't always end so nicely.

And the real answer is: once you got on the grass, there was really no saving it.
