Default Mid-Engine 911

There is a cool old IMSA GTU mid-engined 911 for sale over on Pelican (no affiliation w/ seller). Double a-arm suspension front and rear, 993 widebody, 3 liter engine. Looks like fun...

Ah, Ray Hendricks's mid-engine 911. I heard he'd built one years ago to run in IMSA. I didn't know he still had it.

Sol Snyderman at Perfect Power has one as well, an ex-Alex Job Racing Fabcar 993 that won the 6 hour race at the Glen. He's been trying to sell the car for years. Very fast.

Didn't John Williamson (aka Otto down in LA) cobble up something similar 10 or so years ago?

Fred,

Dad has to go to a wedding in Virginia next weekend. I'll be there, though. Stop by and say hello.

All 911's would benefit from the "boxster" mod.

i just happened upon this post and thought I should add to this. Yes John “OTTO” Williamson had a mid engined 993. John built the power plant and drivetrain and my dad, George Browne designed the chassis and suspension. Griggs Racing welded it up, but my dad had to fix some of the framework and fit the custom A.I.R.body kit. I’d have to look at my dads notes to find more details but here are some pictures

I thought Loren had the Mid-eng Fabcar about a year ago and sold it back to Marvin Epps.
