Anyone down by Summit Point?

Although the track looked bad, in many of the cars I was in or drove, IMHO, the bumps were not all that harsh. I drove a JRZ-equipped 993 and thought the suspension handled T1 and T5 just fine. The same thing applied to Gary Church's 700hp RUF monster with JRZ's, the Cayman S (fast car!) and the 3.2 Carrera where I was a passenger. When I rode with Gary R. in his 3.2 liter car, the ride was definitely harsh and not very fun.
As I mentioned before, even with the track conditions as they were this weekend, I have no problem signing up for the October club race, so I'm clearly putting my money where my mouth is.

That sure is one way to get the back end to rotate for T6! lol
I did not drive this past weekend, but I was out there scouting the track conditions for the NASA race coming up Saturday. T5 looked pretty bumpy coming out, but my car is pretty softly sprung. I figure I might be ok. Ivan told me the track is fine. I dunno. Guess I see Saturday.

You can tiptoe around some of the bad parts. Two wide in some of the corners will put one car through the rough stuff and pitch it out. Try not to be on the outside when someone is droving through the crappy parts. T1 was roughing my car up so bad it was skittering like a hockey puck when I forgot to not drive the line once.

Well then, all the other people that are bitching about the visably torn up pavement right in the line must be nuts.
