Default What Class Would My Car Be in PCA?

I'm hoping you guys can save me some research time. I'm considering a couple PCA events next year. I'm currently running with the POC only. My POC car class is J "Prepared", and my race group is R6. I know some of you guys know this off the top of your heads.

-Motor is a stripped down 3.2 with stock cam, JE pistons, motronic, Stock intake, K&N AF, Wong Chip, with two into one open headers.
-Weight 2,462 lbs (2,660 with me in it).
-Wheels are 8" & 9" with 245/24 and 275/40
-915 Tranny with gears and GT LSD
-The suspension is everything money can buy without going to coil-overs (No expense spared here, but still T-Bars).
-RS interior (barely)
-Full Cage through-hull tied to front and rear shock towers.
-Iroc Tail and Iroc front and read bumpers.
-Narrow Body
-All saftey equipment

I appreciate the help.

I'll take a wild guess and say it would be in a non-competitive (for you) GT Class? 78 Sc with transplanted 3.2, modified engine, modified Tranny, cage tied in... just a guess though

The motor is pretty much stock. It's just stripped of the A/C, heaters, and all the street crap to save wieght. The chip might be worth 8 or 10 hp, but not much more.

You would fall in the middle of GT4 (S or R depending on type of tire you use). You either need to lose some weight or gain displacement to move to the top of the class. Given your equipment you might want to consider adding some weight to run in the top of GT5.

Here's a copy of the new rules. See Page 19.

I'm R6 with POC and in GT4 with PCA this year... used to be GT2S!!! I could never make "stock" weight with PCA (a whopping 3409 lbs vs. POC 3106) so GT class it is...

See you at Laguna!!

...hopefully the J/E's keep the compression ratio at the stock value... otherwise you're in the V-class menu!!

Yeah, I would figure that with a car like that NASA would be a better venue. I wish I could play with power somehow and be at the limits of GTS-2 but I can't ant stay in PCA D Stock.

Thanks! I have some lead. I will take your advice and run with GT5.

I just checked with Jeff E. I don't actually have the JE pistons. He said my motor is "bone stock". I bought a wrecked (front-end) race car for the 3.2 and some other parts. The car had a JE pistons sticker on the fender. I just made the assumtion.
