Since this is your thread, and by the poll numbers your opinion is respected more often than not, I would like to draw from your great wisdom.
I am registered to race with the POC at Laguna Seca Aug 21-24. I just gently reminded my wife and she sad; “ABSOLUTLY NOT BUSTER!, we’re spending the weekend with my mother at the shopping outlets”. She’s put her foot down.
I love my wife and don’t want to disrespect her, and don’t want her to make me quit racing. What should I do?

If you avoid answering legitimate questions, and resort to insults in order to deflect scrutiny, you effectively recruit supporters for the opposing view. Meanwhile the opposition has only to sit back and watch the implosion. I'm just guessing that you're not a politician.

I never thought this would drag out this long.
I can understand it lasting through yesterday as we were battened down for "Edouard" and it was a fairly boring day what with the inane TV personalities. But poor A. Wayne lost this contest in his first post and the following futile attempts at banter / comebacks were lame at best.

How about I PayPal you $10,000 and a $1,000 Starbucks card, and you make the Mother "disappear" permenently and keep the wife thru September,so I can go to Costa Rica for the summer.
