Pole positions and Gt3 seats fit me well. Want to move up to an SPG for a little better/deeper fit. I'm 5'10, 188lbs, 34" waist. Re. Recaro's website it looks like the seat width of the SPG XL is the same as PPs/Gt3.
Comments/suggestions? I suspect the standard SPG is a touch too narrow...
TIA.

The SPG XL is a little bigger. My dad has the Euro GT3 seats in his street car and they are a little tight on me. I put the SPG XL in the cup and its a lot better. You can probably get by with the SPG. I am 6'4 and 235.

Is this for a dual purpose car?

on track (assuming you tow the car to track), spg will be very snug and good.
on road, you will be in pain with spg. there' s not enough room for you to wiggle your butt at all.
spg xl, unfortunately is about .5" too wide. you will feel great doing canyon carving. but on track, it's just a smidge too wide.
i do use the xl version. i just pull the harness very tight.

5'-10", 215-220lbs, 38" waist, used an original SPG for years before mounting my current Hans-compatible seat (The SPG is not very HANS friendly, at least for me). The SPG was pretty tight, but usable. Would not have been comfortable on the street.
If you like the fit of the Pole Position, you'll think the SPG is too tight. More likely, in my opinion, is that you're comfortable in the Pole Position, but will be better supported in the SPG.
